I have the pleasure to live in the area. I visited the shop and met Dave. Man does he have some impressive history behind him and It shows when you replace your pickups in your guitar with Rio Grande pickups. I have  BBQ bucker and a Bladerunner.
With this pickup set lots of things have changed. My effect pedals sound so clear and so much more distinguishable than before. I can't understand this but my guitar is noiseless all I hear is the guitar notes and tones. The harmonix are incredible. Im able to get inspired easily, you can minulplate sonic sounds with very little effort. Ive cut back on the gain on my pedals because of this. The Seymore Duncans when i put them side by side with the Rio Grandes the Duncans looked like a toy and the build quality was cheap.
Im impressed with Daves work. Next looking into replacing my Jazzmaster pickups.
