Designed as a replacement pickup for guitars equipped with mini-humbuckers, the Rio Grande Baby Bluesbar offers the sweet, smooth and harmonically rich tones of the classic P90 in a package that is a drop-in replacement for the minis.

Two basic models of the Rio Grande Baby Soapbar are available. The Baby Bluesbar, designed for the bridge position, is a slightly overwound P90 offering additional output, crunch and sustain compared to a standard-wound P90. For the neck position, the Baby Jazzbar offers lower output compared to the Bluesbar for chime, clarity and that glassy tone only a great P90 can deliver. The Baby Jazzbar comes RWRP for hum-cancelling when combined with the bridge pickup.

Ideal candidates for the Baby Soapbars would be the Gibson Firebird, Les Paul Deluxe, SG Special, SG-1, ES-390, Nitehawk and SG Deluxe. For Epiphone owners, the Baby Soapbars will work great in the Sheraton, Riviera, Sorento, Wilshire, Crestwood, Broadway and Caiola models. Whatever you have, if it has mini-humbuckers, the Rio Grande Baby Soapbars will fit. With the P-90 style mounting ring option, the Baby Soapbars can also be adapted to any guitar with a standard P-90 route.

Cover options include black, creme, chrome, nickel, toasted nickel, distressed nickel and gold. Mounting options include pickguard mount, flat mounting ring and Soapbar P-90 ring mount.

Baby BBQ

Honey, I shrunk the pickups!!! The long awaited "BABY" Texas and BBQ humbuckings are in. After much tinkering around and "beaucoup" prototypes, we are introducing these l'il beauties for your tonal consumption. With outputs of 10k and 12k respectively, the Baby TX & BBQ are head and hands above other more anemic offerings out there in guitardom. Since this type of pickup was introduced in the 60's in various forms (Epiphones, Firebirds) and the 70's Les Paul Deluxe, they have always come up short in power and presence. Those days are gone now with these "babies" entering the field. Included are over sized polepieces, radiator baseplate, and a number of finishes including chrome, nickel, and toasted nickel. A "no holes" cover option is also available for applications where an historic look is required. For applications requiring three pickups, use a Baby BBQ in the bridge and two Baby TX's. Pickups are double wax potted and 2 conductor braided cable is standard..4 conductor optional. Muscle, output, and full sized polepieces combine to bring it all home....Baby BBQ is recommended for bridge position...12k
